Athena Beach: Jenny's Trip Review
At The Travel Village, we love to celebrate the stories and experiences of our team members. Recently, one of our marketing executives, Jenny, had the incredible opportunity to visit Athena Beach in Paphos with her partner. This stunning destination, known for its crystal-clear waters and rich cultural heritage, offered the perfect backdrop for a much-needed getaway. Read on for an insider's look at this spectacular destination and the highlights of an adventure that left a lasting impression.
Staying at the Athena Beach Constantino Bros Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus, was an experience that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special - especially as we had booked the Elite Class Package.
Upon arrival, we were treated to a VIP check-in experience, complete with chilled face flannels and our choice of champagne or another refreshing drink. This set the tone for the exceptional service we received throughout our stay. The hotel’s all-inclusive policy is genuinely impressive—whatever you see in the hotel, you can have. When my partner requested a filet mignon for dinner, typically priced at €48, we were delighted to hear there was no additional supplement. It’s truly all-inclusive!
The Elite Class offers several standout benefits, most notably for me was the stunning rooftop bar. It was the perfect spot to watch the sunset in awe, and there's always space available. Another perk is the VIP breakfast buffet, which eliminates the hassle of queuing for your morning omelette.
During our stay, we took advantage of a special spa offer—a one-hour massage for just €50. I couldn’t resist trying it out to ensure I could give a thorough review. It was a fantastic addition to our relaxing getaway. The massueses were all lovely and made our experience even more relaxing for us, I had to resist the temptation to book myself in again before we left.
Cyprus boasts the cleanest water in the EU, and with the hotel’s prime beachfront location, you have easy access to various water sports. A short walk from the hotel brings you to Sunset Point and the harbour, both ideal for leisurely romantic strolls. We made it a daily ritual to walk to these spots, especially after indulging in the hotel’s decadent chocolate lava cake.
For football fans, the pool bar transforms at night into a dream venue with a giant projector screen showing all the UK matches. The bar serves all your favorites, making it a great place to unwind, as my partner would tell you, since he couldn't get enough of the venue.
The hotel staff are exceptional and contributed significantly to our enjoyable stay. They were always cheerful and ready to assist with any request. The beds were incredibly comfortable with the best pillows I’ve ever experienced, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
Our room featured a spacious balcony with a sea view, a perfect spot to relax before dinner. The in-room mini bar, included in the all-inclusive package, was replenished daily with branded sodas and mini spirits like Gordon’s gin. We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine in our room and on our last night, we received a lovely bottle of champagne as a goodbye gift, it really is the little touches which make this resort so special.
Entertainment at Athen Beacha was top-notch, with live music during dinner and various shows, including magicians and dancers, afterwards. This added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evenings. We spent every night singing and dancing, soaking in the atmosphere along with all of the other guests.
In summary, Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos offers an elite class experience that is worth every euro. From the luxurious amenities and exceptional service to the stunning views and entertainment, it’s a place we’re eager to return to.
